Deaf Community

Convo Australia offers prompt, accessible Auslan interpreting services when you need to contact your friends, family, work, community, and health services and to run your own business - all at a time which suits you.

We aim to make it easier for you to access Auslan interpreting services whenever you want. You do not need to book an interpreter in advance, you can simply contact our interpreters through our app and immediately talk to someone else in person or over the telephone.

With your monthly plan, you can make as many calls as you want for the month with just one invoice per plan. Your monthly plan can be funded through your NDIS and or Job Access (Employment Assistance Fund).  If you decide to use NDIS and Job Access, separate accounts can be set up.

If you need more information about our services, please contact us and we will organise a video call to talk with you through our language, Auslan.

With Convo Australia you will have:

  • Low cost plans - Convo Australia offers a range of plans with no hidden costs.
  • Your own number - you will use a personal number making it easier to make and receive calls.
  • Access - you can use Convo Australia on your desktop, laptop, tablet, iPhone, or Android smartphone.
  • Usage monitoring - you can see how many minutes you have left your plan on your account.
  • Single Invoice - you get ONE invoice per month for each plan to make as many calls as you want.

With Convo Australia, you can take ownership and bring your full self to your world.

At home and personal use

You can use Convo Australia through your NDIS plan for your personal interpreting needs, such as:

  • Getting health services – visiting your doctor, talking to a chemist, or seeing a health professional
  • Participating in community activities

You can give your personal number to someone else if you need them to call you, and they will be able to contact you directly through our interpreters – you no longer need to be the one calling them!

All you need is reliable access to the internet (mobile 4G/5G or home internet access) and a smart device (mobile phone, tablet, or computer) and through Convo Australia you will be able to use Auslan interpreters for anything you need.
